Why : A software analysing the pressuremeter test devoted to the optimisation of geotechnical structures

The new pressuremeter test analysis software makes it possible to :

  • Design geotechnical structures to the surrounding soil; For example, to design the foundations of a prestressed arch viaduct on a ground while this type of structure is still built on rock (Monnet et al., 2006)
  • Determine Soil Friction to Optimize the design in Large Retaining Wall (Monnet et al., 2002)
  • Accurately determine soil elasticity characteristics for the design of retaining structures (Granjon et Monnet, 2024)

How : with an intuitive software for an optimised data interpretation with:

High reliability of interpretation validated by finite element calculation (Monnet et al. 2022b)
Results (EM, Ee,plm, F) for which the accuracy is calculated and known (Monnet 2021)
The direct determination of soil friction characteristics, without passing through approximate correlations (Monnet 2012a)  (Monnet 2012b)
A consideration of the membrane thickness separating the loading fluid internal to the probe and the soil external to the probe (Monnet et al. 2022b)
Taking into account the actual deformation of the probe (Monnet et al. 2022b)
Better adaptation of the structure to the surrounding ground and significant savings on the project
Improved safety in service

Improve the interpretation of the pressuremeter test on 5 points:

  1.  Consideration of membrane thickness and split tube
  2. Taking into account the deformed probe
  3. Direct determination of the ground friction angle
  4. Direct determination of soil cohesion
  5.  Determination of the accuracy of all test quantities (soil modulus, limit pressure, friction angle...)

In additon...

The software also allows to:

  • Manage construction sites and pressuremeter tests files
  • Manage drilling
  • Manage the probes
  • Manage clean expansion and strength tests
  • Edit pressuremeter test reports in paper form
  • Operate pressuremeter tests according to ISO 22476-4
  •  Correct the measurements of the membrane thickness effect and the deformation of the probe (not taken into account in the ISO standard) which allows identical results regardless of the probe used.
